¡Hola, amigos! 👋
Hi, I’m Yossef Tarek — cybersecurity engineer, community builder, and AI enthusiast.
READ MY STORY BELOW.......
I started my journey into tech back in 2018, driven by curiosity and the desire to make an impact. What began with self-learning and freelance work.
Today, I’m the founder & CEO of Site Minds, an AI-powered platform analyzing over 600M domains. I’ve reported 1500+ vulnerabilities to major companies, built regional communities, and delivered dozens of technical talks across MENA and beyond.
Community is at the heart of everything I do.
As Regional Community Manager at CyberX, I supported the growth of student-led clubs across 10+ countries, led national-scale initiatives, and worked closely with ministries and universities to expand access to cybersecurity education.
I also contribute to several communities including:
Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) - Google Cloud Developer Community (GDG Cloud Egypt) - Google Developer Experts (GDE) - TEDx - MaharaTech - ITIDA / TIEC - Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors - MINT by EGBANK - HubX and more.
Community taught me that real growth comes from collaboration and I’m always excited to give back.
The spark.
My tech journey began with self-learning, curiosity, and late nights exploring how things work. At just 16, I started freelancing in cybersecurity and web development experimenting, building, and diving deep into ethical hacking. This year laid the foundation for everything that came after.
First real steps.
I started participating in global bug bounty platforms and successfully reported my first security vulnerabilities to international companies. This was the year I proved to myself that my skills could solve real-world problems and that my path in cybersecurity was just beginning. I continued freelancing, sharpening my technical skills, and building my name in Tech community.
Going professional.
This year marked a turning point. I officially joined the workforce as a Software Engineer at Arkan Saudi Arabia, where I contributed to backend development, secure coding, and architecture optimization. I worked on scalable enterprise-grade platforms and supported cross-functional teams with secure software solutions tailored for the Saudi market.
At the same time, I continued developing my cybersecurity expertise reporting vulnerabilities, studying systems in-depth, and expanding my presence in the bug bounty community.
2020 was also the year I began building my personal brand, combining security skills with real-world implementation.
Diving deeper into cybersecurity.
In 2021, I joined Al Waseet Platform as an Information Security Engineer, working with engineering and DevOps teams to enhance the platform’s application security. I tackled real-time services and implemented foundational security controls during critical scale-up phases.
In parallel, I became more active in the cybersecurity ecosystem joining international CTFs, capturing flags with top-ranked teams, and mentoring newcomers through online platforms and communities.
This year solidified my passion for cybersecurity and gave me the confidence to lead future technical tracks and community initiatives.
This year marked a turning point in both my community leadership and professional path.
I was appointed as an official ambassador by ITIDA and TIEC, representing Egypt in initiatives related to cybersecurity, AI, and youth-led innovation. I actively contributed to national programs, mentored emerging tech talents, and delivered public talks and technical workshops across the country.
I also joined MaharaTech as an ambassador, helping expand digital literacy in Arabic and supporting learners through free, government-backed educational resources. In parallel, I launched my own TEDx chapter as a TEDx Licensee and Community Curator providing a platform for young changemakers to share ideas and drive local innovation.
That same year, I reached the Alpha tier in the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador program. I led technical sessions focused on Azure, GitHub, and Power Platform, and supported students across the region in developing their cloud and tech skills.
On the professional side, I began a new role as an Information Security Engineer at United Express International Kuwait, where I led security audits, implemented cloud infrastructure hardening, and helped build secure SDLC practices across the organization.
This year was marked by an expansion in both regional leadership and global community engagement.
I continued my role at United Express International until June, leading cybersecurity audits and compliance across cloud infrastructure. In mid-year, I transitioned to CyberX as a Hubx Lead, where I took on a more strategic role in empowering student communities and leading large-scale cybersecurity initiatives across MENA. At the same time, I became a Facilitator for Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC), mentoring over 500,000 students and contributing to global campaigns with Google DSC .
I also joined Google Developer Group (GDG) Cloud Egypt as an organizer, planning tech events nationwide and spotlighting cloud, AI, and security. In November, I was invited to collaborate with the Google Developer Experts (GDE) program as an event organizer, delivering global summits and facilitating hands-on learning for developers worldwide.
This year marked a major milestone in my entrepreneurial and regional leadership journey.
In May, I officially launched Site Minds, an AI-powered domain intelligence platform built to analyze and optimize over 600 million domains. As the Founder & CEO, I led a cross-border team of developers, AI engineers, and researchers, managing everything from product vision and technical architecture to investor relations and IP registration under Rights No. 004524.
In parallel, I continued my community leadership across various platforms, mentoring students, delivering workshops, and empowering developer ecosystems.
By the end of the year, I was promoted to Regional Community Manager at CyberX, where I began overseeing large-scale operations and community growth strategies across MENA.
With a growing regional footprint, this year deepened my impact in both the startup and community ecosystems.
As Regional Community Manager at HubX, I led cross-functional teams and collaborated with ministries, universities, and global organizations to scale innovation initiatives across MENA.
My responsibilities ranged from managing student clubs and ambassador programs to launching large-scale engagement efforts, including the State of Tech Communities in MENA research.
In parallel, I scaled Site Minds into new markets, expanded its product roadmap, and continued building strategic partnerships. Through both ventures,
I focused on empowering youth through tech, strengthening ecosystem connections, and driving sustainable, high-impact community growth.
I deeply believe in the power of curiosity, collaboration, and purpose. These values have shaped every step of my journey—from diving into cybersecurity forums as a teenager to leading regional tech communities and launching AI ventures. I’ve found that the more we share what we know, the more we grow—both as individuals and as ecosystems.
Community, for me, isn’t just about gathering people—it’s about building bridges between worlds: students and industry, governments and startups, ideas and action. When we open up to others’ perspectives, we challenge our own, refine our thinking, and unlock new ways to create meaningful impact.
But staying open doesn’t mean losing your identity. It means owning it, evolving it, and using it as a platform to help others rise too.
